As a mother of three children myself, I know how intense the time of deciding on a secondary school can be. We are happy to support you in this process. The AGI is a humanistic grammar school with two branches.
The UNESCO/Network branch is characterized by its focus on teamwork, on free and networked work, with diverse projects and a focus on sustainability.
The school branch of the Recognized European School has the special feature that students can put together an individual subject bundle in the upper school and thus choose from several educational paths: with a focus on languages as well as mathematics, science or the humanities.
In general, it is important to us to prepare our students well for the Matura – but it is particularly important to me that the children feel comfortable with us. To enable the children to arrive at the AGI in a relaxed manner, we support them in several stages. In the week before the start of the summer holidays, we organize an introductory meeting with the new classmates and the head of class. At the start of school in the fall, there is an introductory week to get to know the school building and the class group, among other things. Throughout the year, we accompany the pupils in a separate subject (SST – Soft Skills Training), which provides space for social interaction. Our aim is to create an environment in which the children can develop into empathetic, independent and critical thinkers.
