Das vorrangige Ziel unseres Musikunterrichts ist es, bei den Schüler/innen die Lust am Singen und Musizieren zu wecken und zu fördern. Daher ist uns ein praxisorientierter Zugang sehr wichtig. In unseren Musikstunden wird viel gesungen, musiziert und getanzt. Außerdem können die Schüler/innen an musikalischen Klassenprojekten (z.B. Musical-Produktionen) und an klassenübergreifenden Projekten mitwirken (z.B. Gestaltung von Gottesdiensten, Schulkonzerte). Im Musikunterricht erleben sich die Schüler/innen als kreative Gruppe und entdecken nicht selten in ihrer Klasse verborgene musikalische Talente.

In the second classes, the pupils themselves work on musicals in numerous lessons, starting from the content and script to the choice of songs, costumes and stage design.

Gwen und Gideon sind auf der Reise zu verschiedenen Persönlichkeiten durch die Zeit, um ein Rätsel zu lösen. Sie bekommen auf jeder Zeitreise Tipps oder weitere Hinweise.
In über 70 Unterrichtsstunden wurde das Musical von den Schülern selbst erarbeitet, begonnen vom Inhalt und Drehbuch über die Songauswahl bis zu den Kostümen und Bühnenbild.

Computer-based learning plays an important role at the AGI. We want to introduce students to digital literacy by using a diverse range of software in class – we place great emphasis on open source products across operating systems so that students can continue to work on the digital projects they have started at school at home without having to buy software for their private PCs (e.g. we edit pictures with Gimp and Inkscape as a counterpart to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator). The students get to know various software concepts, thus find their way around heterogeneous user interfaces more easily and are not only trained in a single software product.
Therefore, at the AGI there are also several options at the operating system level. Windows and Linux devices are available in the classrooms, but students can also bring their own device to school and connect to the internet via WLAN. In the digital realm, there are usually several ways to reach a goal, which is why we think it is important to provide a wide range of options at school.
